A wonderful discovery at Le Chêne in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire! We shared a ribeye steak weighing over 600g between the two of us, and it was absolutely delicious. The chef even took the time to cook the meat two different ways so that each of us could have it cooked exactly as we liked it—a truly thoughtful touch. The meat was excellent, and the sauces were served in very generous portions, a real bonus! The roasted Camembert was also delicious, perfectly prepared. To finish, the manager kindly offered us a small digestif, a thoughtful touch that perfectly capped off this excellent meal. A warm welcome, generous portions, a genuine desire to please customers, and excellent quality ingredients. We left completely satisfied and will gladly return. I highly recommend it!

We arrived without a reservation and were seated quickly. The waitresses were very pleasant. We ordered cocktails and tapas, but waited (practically finished our tapas) before our cocktails arrived. The main courses took forever to arrive. The duck breast was good but more like a thin strip of meat. The fries (crumbs) were unlimited, but the wait was, like everything else, long. The squid, which was the chef's suggestion, was overcooked and dry. For the price (€24.90), I would have liked to have been able to enjoy my meal. I could or should have sent it back, but we had already waited an hour to be served. The dessert was good, and the prices were reasonable. Special mention goes to the incredibly uncomfortable chairs we sat on. When a meal lasts that long, you really feel it when you leave.

Everything was perfect

I've known this restaurant since it opened and have been several times. This time, my experience was mediocre. The service was very slow compared to usual, and I ordered the French toast with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. I specifically asked for a scoop of passion fruit ice cream on the side. When my dessert arrived, I saw the scoop on top of the brioche, but no vanilla ice cream. So I asked for a change, as that wasn't what I wanted, and the waitress's response was, "We're not going to change a brioche for a scoop of ice cream on top." I understood perfectly well that she wasn't going to change my brioche. As a result, I paid for a dessert I didn't like. The passion fruit mixed with the chocolate French toast, which had already melted, was clearly not great. I'm disappointed because the service is usually excellent. When you make a mistake, you have to admit it, even if it's just a brioche, simply replace it.

I hated the disorganized atmosphere, the noise everywhere, the unkempt waiters—it felt like a rough neighborhood eatery. First and last experience. It's a shame, because the food wasn't bad.

The baby potatoes were cold (straight from the fridge), there wasn't enough cutlery, and the tiramisu from the gourmet coffee wasn't there and we had to ask for it. The panna cotta was rubbery. We were quite disappointed with this restaurant and won't be returning.

We were very disappointed with the service. Arriving at 8:40 PM, the welcome was very friendly. Once seated, our order was taken quickly. Then we had to wait an hour for two courses... while all the tables around us were being served. Of course, no server seemed to notice. We, being Algerian, had to speak to the waitress who told us there had been a problem with our table.... No gesture was made to compensate, not even a complimentary drink. We are extremely disappointed. And I advise you to go to the one at Atlantis.

We ate at this restaurant last night; we were a table of six and were served very quickly. The atmosphere was excellent, with music playing. The food was very good and the portions were perfect; the fries and salad that came with the meat were unlimited! The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will gladly return!
