Friendly and efficient service. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly and the vegetables were excellent. I recommend it.

We generally appreciate this restaurant in Carquefou, but in our opinion, it has some significant shortcomings in its cuisine. The positives: - Excellent servers: professional, pleasant, and attentive. - A unique and very well-executed atmosphere. - Delicious dishes. - Reasonable prices, especially at lunchtime when it's possible to have a meal at a very reasonable price. However, two things really disappointed us. The first concerns the communication surrounding the beef. The restaurant highlights a "beef breed," but during a visit, we were told it was Normande. However, the Normande is a dual-purpose breed, used for both dairy and beef, and not a specialized beef breed like the Charolais or Limousin. This presentation seems, at the very least, inaccurate. The second, and most problematic, issue concerns the portion sizes. During a lunch a few months ago, we were already surprised by the small amount of meat served. Since the portion sizes weren't listed on the menu, we assumed it was the standard size given the price. We recently returned, this time in the evening as a group, and the problem seemed even more pronounced. Two people at our table had ordered the exact same dish (the pesto-stuffed chicken), but the plates were very different: one contained significantly less chicken, less salad, and fewer fries than the other. The difference was striking. I ordered the shredded beef. The amount of meat served really surprised me: I estimate there was about 80g of cooked meat. It's the first time I've ever had such a small portion for a dish costing nearly €20, to the point that I was still hungry when I left the restaurant. We pointed out these discrepancies to the waiter, who was very professional and understanding. He went to check with the kitchen. Unfortunately, no one came to check the plates, and the only response was that the portions were normal. As a gesture of goodwill, the two people involved received a single bowl of salad for two. We were also told that there was 180g of raw meat in the dish. Given what was served, this seems hard to believe and suggests there was a portioning error. This is all the more disappointing because the food is good and we appreciate the establishment. We are writing this review because we felt our feedback wasn't truly taken into account. Nevertheless, a big thank you to the waiter for his attentiveness and professionalism. We simply hope that the portion sizes will become more consistent and better reflect the price of the dishes.
